Statistical power analysis is the best answer to queries like “What sample size do I need?” It is the technique used in the design process that helps a researcher in determining the sample size. It depends on a number of factors such as the purpose of the study, population size, the risk of selecting a “bad” sample, and the allowable sampling error. The best way to determine the sample size we conduct a power data analysis for every topic. We accomplish this by either referring to any pilot data you have, or to parameters in the relevant literature.
